That mix packs into wet mats that standard open gutters can't pass.

The two systems we install

Micro-mesh guards use a fine stainless screen over a rigid frame — the best all-around performance against small debris and grit, and what we recommend for most homes near trees. Perforated aluminum screens are a budget-friendlier step down that stops leaves and larger debris; a reasonable choice for newer streets where mature trees are still a decade away.

Either way, guards install over new gutters or sound existing ones. If your current gutters are sagging or pulling loose, we'll tell you plainly — a guard on a failing gutter is money wasted, and we'd rather fix the gutter first or walk you through repair options.

The honest trade-off

No guard is "never think about it again." Debris still collects on top and blows off or needs an occasional brush-off, and any system should get a quick look each year. What guards genuinely do is end the wet-glove scooping, keep water moving during the big storms, and protect the downspouts from packing solid.
